Welcome to the Winters Mill High School Music Department website!

We're so glad to be able to share our experience with you through this site. We hope to include up to date information regarding rehearsals, performances, and other events, as well as descriptions of all instrumental music courses (what they are and when to take them), back issues of our newsletter, pictures of the ensembles, and a calendar for your reference. Latest News and Updates

1. April 17: Recruiting trip to East Middle. Please turn in permission slips ASAP.

2. April 29/30: State Band Festival. I will let you know immediately when I receive our day and time. We have no control over this - please reserve these dates.

3. May 8: Marching Band Meeting at 5 pm in the band room. Please encourage everyone to come! Click here for meeting flyer.

4. May 8: Jazz Band rehearsal with Mr McFalls. Please DO NOT miss this rehearsal - it is the only time we can coordinate before the perormance on the 10th. NHS members are to stay until 7:30 pm. This is approved by Mr Holt - please submit it to him in writing.

5. May 10: Jazz Band Performance at the Flower and Jazz Festival. Arrive at 2:30. Perform from 3-4 pm. Please be picked up by 4:15 pm.

6. May 12 and 19: Rehearsals for Spring concert, 6-8 pm.

7. Marching Band Members: Please make sure that you have band camp and summer rehearsal dates on your calendar, AS WELL AS the added performance this April 10th at WMHS. Thank you!

8. Please make note of the Spring Concert and Graduation dates: May 20 will be Wind Ensemble, Orchestra, and Percussion Ensemble. May 21 will be Concert Band and Jazz Ensemble. Graduation will be June 6th (Band I, Band II, Selected Percussionists will perform).
